- Who are Pablo, Marisha, and Julius?
- What are they going to do?
- How their job can help you?

Hey all! My name’s Marisha and I want to try voluntourism. Voluntourism is a combination of volunteering and tourism. Voluntourists usually take part in activities such as teaching in schools, building homes, and working with local organizations. I don’t want to miss this amazing experience. I wouldn’t like to just sit at home and do nothing when there are so many people who need our help. That’s why I am going to Uganda to do my part and make a positive change in the lives of others. I would like to work with children and teach them basic skills like reading, writing, and math. It will be a great chance for me to explore a new culture and do something really important. I know it will be a big challenge, but I’m ready for this adventure!

Read Pablo’s post
Hi! I’m Pablo. I wouldn’t like to spend much money on my vacation, so I want to swap houses! Do you know what it means? When you swap houses, you and the other person stay in each other’s houses. You can swap homes with people from all over the world, and get a chance to explore new places and cultures. I’m going to stay at the house of one guy from Porto, and he’ll stay at my apartment in New York.
You know, I think this type of travel has a very big plus – I can travel light! I will stay at an apartment of another person, and I don’t need to take a suitcase full of different things. I’ll only take a backpack in which I’ll put some clothes and my favorite pajamas, swimming trunks, a towel, and flip-flops. I think I’ll also need sunscreen, charger, and guidebook, as well as a good map. If I have some space I’ll put my binoculars there – I like to use them to watch the sea. And of course, I’ll take some souvenirs from New York for the guy with whom I’ll swap houses!

Couch-surfing anyone?

Read Julius’s post
Hello guys! Julius is here. I’m going couch-surfing so that I can travel and save money at the same time. I’m sure everybody knows about couch-surfing – it is a way of traveling when strangers let you sleep on their sofa for free. You can find these people on couchsurfing.com and other websites like this. Couch-surfing is a good way to save money when you travel, because you don’t need to spend it on hotels or hostels. With couch-surfing you save money, so you can spend more on other things like food and activities.
I want to go to Dresden to enjoy its nightlife. I was looking through a lot of variants and I found a nice woman from this city who has a room for me. I’m really excited to meet her and see what her life is like in Dresden. I’m a little bit nervous because of this trip (it’ll be my first time), but I think it will be a great experience.
